Landscaping Solutions

Thank you for visiting Bamboo Gardens of Louisiana.

We are an established, 24 acre, bamboo farm and nursery growing
110 varieties of temperate and tropical bamboos,
ranging from dwarfs to giant ‘timber’ species.

Bamboo Gardens of Louisiana operates on an appointment basis.
Organizing our time in this way allows us to provide our customers
uninterrupted time and individual attention in helping them choose
bamboos appropriate to their space and project.

Our goal is to help our customers enhance their homes and gardens
with bamboo's enduring elegance and grace
whether the planting is strictly functional or ornamental.
.
Deliveries are contracted with multiple carriers for local, regional, and
national deliveries.  For smaller orders, it is usually most
cost-effective to pick up your bamboo at our nursery.
For single or small plant orders, USPS shipping is available.
Please call our office for delivery specifics.

Containerized and hand-dug, field-grown ball & burlap divisions
are available.  A rotating stock of our most popular species
and sizes are containerized, temporized and ready for delivery.
Specified sizes and species are field-dug
to order and ready to go in about 1-2 weeks.

Please call us for up to date availabilities on specific bamboo species.

Field dug, burlap wrapped divisions from our extensive groves are sold graded according to height.

These standard sizes are as follows:

Minimum   6ft height with 12-18” root ball
Minimum 10ft height with 18+”    root ball
Minimum 12ft height with 18-24” root ball
Minimum 15ft height with 24-28” root ball

Root ball sizes will vary with the moisture content and soil consistency when dug!!!  The above are general sizes with expected variability, depending upon the specie of bamboo.

These field dug divisions are wrapped in untreated burlap and can be planted as such - it will rot away in short order and will not impede your bamboo's growth.  The tied burlap covering also provides a safer, easier way to lift and move your bamboo during transport and planting without placing undue stress on the culms.

Installation Services are available, upon request.
